其他National Taiwan University of Science and Technology’s Industry-Academia Innovation College Opens with Strong Support from TUL Corporation

October 27, 2022 – Professional graphics card manufacturer TUL Corporation (TWSE:6150) collaborates with National Taiwan University of Science and Technology’s (NTUST) Industry-Academia Innovation College and establishes TUL-NTUST Joint R&D Center. In the future, TUL will further join hands with NTUST to nurture talents in the fields of artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing and energy sustainability to strengthen R&D expertise.

NTUST’s Industry-Academia Innovation College was officially unveiled on October 27. “In order to strengthen the R&D expertise of technology, NTUST established Joint R&D Centers with Foxlink, International Games System, Delta, AAEON and TUL, and cooperatively nurture talents needed by the society through industry-academia cooperation,” said Jia-Yush Yen, President of NTUST. “We are thankful for the long-term support of TUL to NTUST led by our outstanding alumni Ted Chen. In addition to the industry-academia cooperation with professors in related fields and the establishment of ‘Smart Manufacturing Laboratory’ in 2020 to build high-end graphics card assembly line, TUL also assisted NTUST in preparing for the successful establishment and operation of Industry-Academia Innovation College starting from last year (2021). Today, we further set up the ‘TUL-NTUST Joint R&D Center’ at NTUST. Combining the R&D expertise of NTUST and the corporate practice of TUL, we will jointly develop the core technologies needed by the country and cultivate high-tech talents. We look forward to the joint development of both parties to create a better future.”

“TUL has been closely cooperating with NTUST over the years, and successively developed technologies in the fields of blockchain security mechanism, IoT information security, smart manufacturing, and image processing through industry-academia cooperation projects,” said Ted Chen, CEO of TUL. “Participating in the establishment of the TUL-NTUST Joint R&D Center by NTUST’s Industry-Academia Innovation College, we can conduct more in-depth industry-academia technology development and medium- to long-term talent cultivation with the college and NTUST. This serves as an important foundation for the sustainable development of our company.”

Coordinating with the country’s 5+2 industrial innovation long-term strategic direction and policy, NTUST is committed to talent cultivation strategies in the fields of artificial intelligence, smart manufacturing and energy sustainability. In accordance with the “Regulations on Industry-Academia Collaboration for Talent Development Innovation in National Key Fields”, NTUST establishes Industry-Academia Innovation College. The college includes the Institute of Smart Manufacturing Technology, the Institute of Artificial Intelligence Interdisciplinary Technology, and the Institute of Energy Sustainability Technology. The college will build on the existing academic foundation, continue to improve the level of research and development, deepen the joint cultivation of talents and innovative technologies with cooperative enterprises, as well as closely connect schools with the industries.
